The P.O.S.H. Life: What is your True Size?

Anita · 1 year agoI'd love it if they just did it in inches the same way they do men's clothing; sure a few feelings would be hurt but it would make shopping *so* much easier. Screw paying extra for a smaller number on the tag, I'd pay more for jeans if I knew up front they would fit without having to try on 10 pairs before I found some that fit correctly. It should not be so serious that you need an Excel spreadsheet

Glennisha Morgan · 1 year agoGreat post! Clothing for women is so funny and sometimes frustrating. It all depends on the brand and style of clothes, for the outcome of the size. I can be in a size 5 with one brand and a size 7 with another.

sHaE-sHaE · 1 year agoIt would be much easier if they all labeled their sizes the same. I am one of those people who will leave items in the store if I am in there too long. So, if I'm fooling around store after store dealing with vanity sizing I'd go home empty handed. Their loss.

jadia · 1 year agoIt's not the size it's the fit! Why force yourself into a size 10 if the pants labeled size 12 would be more flattering? There is no industry standard in sizing b/c different designers cut their patterns differently. Also, sometimes higher priced items fit better b/c the craftmanship is generally better. And for jeans I sing the praises of DKNY Soho jeans. The waist is a regular rise and they are very flattering. They can be found at Macy's and DKNY.com. They are made for women not young twenty-somethings. read the reviews on macys.com, they are much loved!

ladebelle · 1 year agoi'm really frustrated that there isn't a standard US size but i'm learning now that it's not the size that's on the label but how it fits me that really matters.
